The initial consultation is absolutely crucial to the success of the eventual fitting of any hearing aid. It takes roughly 1 hour to go through all of the tests, questions and recommendations and is a very interactive session with questions from the patient encouraged.

To ascertain what you, the patient, are looking to gain from wearing a hearing aid, our professionals will ask you about your hearing history, your lifestyle and equally important, your expectations.

Hearing Test

Once your details have been clarified, a full hearing test will be conducted. The test is very easily completed by the patient and is very comfortable with full explanation throughout. Although it is called a ‘Test’, it is not a pass or fail situation, it simply gives us a prescription for your hearing loss that we can use as our basis for recommending the correct solution for you.

The hearing test itself covers several different areas such as Air conduction testing, Bone Conduction testing, ULL testing, Masking where necessary and we are now using state of the art ‘Videotoscopes’ that allow you to see inside your own ear.
